How much does it cost and how do I pay? Every entry you make costs $5, and you can enter as many times as you like. Paying is straightforward but depending on which option you choose there may be additional charges especially with PayPal, we all know they want to take their cut. Up Your Mama does not make any profit from these competitions so all the entrance money will given to the winner or winners if there is a tie.

If you are in physical contact with us you can give cash, otherwise you can use PayPal, Revolut or Skrill. With each of the payment systems we will try to make it with as little charges as is feasible. We want you to pay as little as possible and subsequently pass onto the winner or winners all of the takings.

How do I get paid if I win? This is a good question and it really depends a bit on how all the entries are paid. If you paid online with a particular method then we shall pay with that same method. If you paid in cash then it really depends on how much cash we are sitting on. However if you did pay in cash then you obviously know us and you will get your money somehow.

How do I even know you will pay me? An even better question and the simple answer is there is no way we can give you any concrete reassurances except to say you will get paid. No matter where you are, no matter who you are and no matter if you know us or not Up Your Mama will get you your money.

Isn't this just online gambling? Well you can look at it  like that if you so wish or you can consider it just another form of an office pool, which actually it is. You always retain the option not to participate. If necessary we shall restrict entry only to members of the website so it is recommended you sign up in case we are forced to go that route.

What happens after I submit a sheet? Your entry goes into an initial database, we keep track of payments and once that is confirmed as received your entry will be accepted into the game database. There is a deadline of one hour prior to the first game when entries will close and a final sheet will be generated. That sheet will be emailed out to everyone that has submitted a paid entry. Note that this email will most likely end up in your junk mail so be sure to keep an eye out for it.

Following that over the course of the week (Thursday to Monday) there will be a leader board posted on the website so you can keep track of your progress. After the Monday Night game or games the final leader board will show the winner.

How does the Tiebreaker work? The tiebreaker comes into effect when more than one entry has the same amount of correct results at top of the leader board. The tiebreaker is your chance to guess the total score of the Monday Night game, ie the score of both teams added together. If there is more than one game then it is the total of all points scored in all games. If games go into overtime the points scored in overtime are also included. The closest to that combined score with the tiebreaker wins all the pool, if there is still a tie the money is split equally.

I see you have a forums page, will the NFL picks be posted there? Good idea yes why not we can upload the final sheet there as well in case you forget how email works or if your spam filter doesn't even let our mails reach your junk box. You are welcome to sign up for the forums even if you are not a member of the website,

Are there any other picks I can take part in? Currently no but we are considering doing something similar for the English Premier League. We find a lot of people saying they don't know anything about the NFL but it is remarkable how many of these people end up winning. With the EPL we suspect that knowledge of the teams will play a much larger factor in how successful people are. Keep your eyes out for when we do start with the EPL.
