Welcome to the NHL 2025-2026 season. This year in conjunction with partners and friends we are offering you the chance to participate in a regular season pick-your-own fantasy team. Then you can follow them through the ups and downs of the season and hope for success. Just like any other team in the league.
You will be competing with like minded peers as you vie to win the pot gathered from all entries. That is right there is real MONEY on the line here.

UpYourMama is purely acting as a host this year and the cost for entering and gathering of money will be managed by our partners. However we will offer you the chance to pay online and we shall pass on. UpYourMama.com will promote this on a cost only basis which means that as long we get the full entrance fee from you we shall pass that on. Any fees that we have to bear will be deducted.
How does it work? On the drafting page that you will see on the site menu there are 21 groups of players. Forwards, defenders and goalkeepers. You just need to select one from each group to build your squad for the season. Use the supplied stats from last season to help you design your team.

For the duration of the season the statistics of each player in your squad will be gathered and added together. Stats for outfield players are based on assists and goals scored. Fpr goalkeepers it is shutouts (x5) and games won. The running total will determine your place in a league of all teams entered. Only one division in this tournament!

During the season there will be one buy-in opportunity. That will give you a chance to trade some of your players. Maybe they are injured, maybe you fancy someone else or maybe they are just plain useless. Currently the organizers are considering a buy-in of up to 4 players, two forwards one defender and one goalkeeper. This will be during the break for the Olympics.

At the end of the regular season the winner gets the main prize, there may also be a percentage of the pot for the runner or runners up. To be confirmed.
If you know the organizers or are in contact you can give cash or some peer-to-peer payment. If you don't you are still very welcome to play, just follow the instructions for how to pay online. I will guarantee that if you do win (and why wouldn't you) then you shall get paid. I know that is easy for me to say but it is true.

On the website there will be leaderboards, live scores and all the usual goodies that we have for the NFL picks. We are also looking at a new feature which will be a tailored made experience for each participant. This will be based on ground breaking technology such as email addresses and what-not, so make sure you sign up to the website to allow you to share in this innovative experience.
